The MIC Earlington Heights Connector is a 2.4 mile extension of the Miami Metrorail system from the existing Earlington Heights Station. The project features Station at the MIC and provides passenger with a central transfer point to Metrobus, Metrorail, Tri-Rail, Amtrak, Greyhound, tour buses, taxi cabs, and the Automated People Mover (APM) that connects with Miami International Airport.
The project is designed to improve regional transit connectivity, offering greater access and convenience. By offering an alternate direct connection with Miami International Airport the number of vehicles traveling to the airport and bus stations will be reduced and provide much needed congestion relieve to the major area highways and arterial roadways.
